Janet Griffin

Janet earned M.A. and B.S. degrees in elementary education from the University of North Alabama.  She taught 15 years in Alabama’s Colbert County School System.  Janet then sought new challenges,and quickly discovered that her background in education was monumental in preparing her for a career in real estate consultation and sales. “Education made me an excellent ‘people-person,” states Janet. “That, combined with patience, is what allows me to connect with clients, understand their unique needs, and find their perfect homes.”
Over the past six years, Janet has excelled in her real estate profession, and has garnered the designation as Top Producer for Coldwell Banker Tennessee Valley Realty.  Keep in mind that Janet is not just an agent, as anyone in the industry can call themselves. She is a REALTOR.  In order to be designated as a REALTOR, Janet must carry a higher level of expertise, knowledge and experience than is legally required.  Additionally, REALTORS, like Janet, are bound to adhere to the best professional practices when working to satisfy your real estate needs.

Janet is the proud mother of Kalon and Garrett Borden, and she is happily married to Bill Griffin. She has a Yorkie named JD and a goldfish named Griffin.

 

 

 

Bill is often described as a masterful communicator, and is known outside of the real estate industry as a noted speaker and author.  He spent 26 years in the education field; the last 16 as an administrator.  He, like Janet, saw the similarities between the two industries, and quickly offered to be the second half of the Griffin Team.
Bill stated, “While driving recently, I noticed the mileage on my car, and it occurred to me that the majority of the miles on the odometer were made by traveling forward, while only a few represent the times I have driven in reverse.  But, I realize that from time to time in my life, if I had not stopped, reversed and started again, my life would be at a stand still.”
